Sketch Challenge: sk10512

by Susanna on October 11, 2012

It’s Sketch Challenge time and today I’m playing with the gorgeous Sylvia Zet images are from SCACD!

Here’s the sketch I whipped up for you:

I had a BALL coloring this image.  In fact, I had so much fun that I couldn’t stop myself from coloring.  I think perhaps my husband considered a Copic intervention….

Here’s a close up of my favorite card… OK… ONE of my favorite cards, because, seriously, I couldn’t decide:

My cute little girlies are all colored with Copics.  I’d give you the colors, but I lost track.   Skin is E00, E01 and E11; Hair is YR31, E31, E33. The rest is a coloring blur…  The ruffled edges are an homage to Nic Howard.  I love the  tattered look of her scrapbook pages.  Of course, I used a Copic Glitter pen (clear) to glam up the skirt.

Here’s another cutie….

OK, you caught me… it’s practically the same card as the other one except for some fun with the Nestabilties.  I liked little rocking horse rider as a blond.. However, I could see her as a brunette…

Not just a brunette, but riding a grey horse.  I had the most fun with this one.  I played around with the blender pen giving this horse a dappled effect.  I actually Googled “rocking horses” to see what most of them looked like.  A lot of those ponies are grey with spots.  Yep.  I’m cool like that.

Hope you play around with the challenge.  Upload your card to our gallery using the keyword sk10512 so that we can find it.
