Giveaway and Dreamweaver Stencils Gold Leafing Technique

by wendy jordan on August 23, 2012

Today I am excited to share another beautiful, simple and fun technique that can be used with Dreamweaver Stencils called Gold Leafing.

I have created a video tutorial to share the step by step process of how I created my project.

The overall design of my card is simple, but the technique to achieve the image is dramatic.

Please take a peek at the video…

Now is your chance to win a Dreamweaver Stencil of your choice.  Head to Stencil With Style, and choose your the stencil that inspires you, come back to Paper Craft Planet and tell us in the comment section which stencil you “need”.  We will pick one winner from the comment section to win the stencil they chose.   You will have two weeks to add your choice into the comment section, so tell all your friends.  You can’t win if you don’t play.  Also check out Dreamweaver Stencils on Facebook. Be sure to hit the “like” button.  It is a fabulous place to get inspired by stenciling.

Oh, Oh, Oh….I almost forgot to announce the winner from Taylor Usry’s post from two weeks ago, CHARMAINE!!  Charmaine has stated that she is in love with the Bare Tree’s stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils.  Charmaine, please email Pam Hornschu with the correct item number of the stencil you’re requesting (phornschu@hotmail.com).

Dreamweaver Stencils is having a Christmas in August challenge.  You can link your Christmas creations at Dream It Up, the Dreamweaver Stencils Blog.   You can also find links to all of the inspirational Design Team blogs!!

Wow! That card is stunning. What a great technique. I bet it would look fabulous with the LG746 stencil. Thanks for sharing this great video. I have never seen this done before.

It is so hard to pick. I guess I need them all. I’ll have to start with the tree or maybe the scene.

Fabulous card and the perfect stencil to use with the variegated gold leaf! Thanks for the detailed video – I was particularly glad to see another way of applying the stencil paste with the spreader. I would really like to see gold leaf applied to LJ906 Maple Branch, one of my wishlist choices.

I love this technique. Would definitely make a very pretty card. I think stencil LX7017 Stars would look very nice. Thanks for the chance to win.
