Bringing Media into our Projects Tutorial

Hi everyone! Wendy here and today with the help of technology and stkr.it we’re going to be bring media into our scrapbooks. I promise you this is EASY and you don’t even need a smartphone to do it. You don’t even need a smartphone to see your media. You can simple enter the code into the website manually. I told you it was easy!  So lets get started.

Thats my little cutie pie. He loves fishing and I love watching him. Its great to be able to go back through scrapbooks and see his joy in the photos, but sometimes I want to be able to relive his actual excitement as he brings in a fish. I was able to on this layout with stkr.it. Stkr.it are QR code stickers that bring digital media into your scrapbook layouts, your cards, or your altered art.You can see I’ve placed one in the corner of my layout, but you could even tuck them away on a hidden tag.

1.Once you have your stkr, you will want to register on the site. You don’t need to, but you won’t be able to edit your stkr unless you’re registered.

2. When you go to the stkr.it site you will see the option to “Play a stkr” or  ”Create a stkr”. We’re going to create our stkr. Enter the 10 letter code on the stkr you wish to save media to and hit “create”. It will tell you its validating the code.

3. Next you will have the option to “chose a photo, video or audio file” or “create a text message”. You are able to add up to 50 MB (approximately 8 mins) of audio or 50 MB (approx 2 mins)of video. I chose to use a movie that I had created earlier in imovie of my son and husband fishing. I picked my movie, hit open. If you want you can add a caption. Hit save and you’re done!  That was all there was to do! Easy! Now when you scan your stkr using a QR code app or enter the code at the stkr site your movie can be seen.
