We all LOVE our punches! They can be the perfect touch for creating a border strip with, but did you know that you can create some fabulous projects with the punch scraps. Yes, the scraps! You know the paper that flies all over our desks and makes a big mess as we punch! Before you sweep the scraps into the waste can next time take a look at them. You might just find the coolest shape that you can use to create something with. For this layout, I used the tiny “X” like shape that was produced in the paper scraps of a Kreaxion Punch. I adhered them to create a faux cross stitch design on my page.
supplies: Kreaxions Punch #310, GCD studios pattern paper, Scenic Route stickers
instructions:
- punch a LOT of x’s using Kreaxions #310. (TIP: an easy way to get lots of negative punch pieces without wasting lots of paper using the entire punch, is to cut 1/2 inch strips of cardstock. Feed the strip of paper into the part of the punch you wish to get.)
- Practice laying out your design before adhering the punches down to the layout. I found laying down a ruler to use as a guide made it easier to keep my line of “stitches” straight and neat.
