I spent the entire day today walking the floor of the CHA Winter 2012 Show.
It’s always fun to see friends and new products. Truthfully, while there are a couple of new things, this year there is a lot of “same” coming your way.
Trends:
- Chevrons
- Paris
- Travel themed products
- Sewing is still very hot
- Quilt patterns as paper backgrounds
- City skyline
- Pinwheels and Flowers and Butterflies (oh my… typical Spring)
- Pennents
- Twine
- Small sticker letters
- 3d embellishments — lots of small wooden shapes, and cut & fanned paper (see hearts and hot air balloons in the pictures below)
Colors from booth to booth all seemed very similar. You’ll be able to mix and match a lot of your paper stash. If you don’t like the colors picked for the season, you’ll struggle to find something different.

Another layout I love. A do it yourself chevron pattern in the patterned paper.
Great flower technique. Paper flowers are still very hot.
More pennants. Lots of kraft cardstock.
More pennants/flags. Impossible to miss this trend.

Back at Heidi Swap. Polaroid frames with labels. Really cute.

You can see the trends…. sewing is still HOT.

I missed you too! Didn’t see a lot of folks I KNEW were there. Bet I would have seen all the press folks if I had gone to the Spellbinder’s breakfast. Unfortunately, I got tied up with another meeting.
