Fran*tage Friday – Cork It!

by Adela Rossol on October 21, 2011

Hello crafters! Welcome back to another Stampendous Fran*tage Friday! Today I’m going to show you how super easy it is to stamp on cork sheets. I was so happy to see how easy it was to cut, stamp, and color on cork! There are several cork sheets available in various shops, but I had some good ol’ Contact® adhesive roll in cork and it worked great! Here’s how I made this 5×7 scrapbook…

SUPPLIES

Stampendous Cling Junbo Cameo Frame

Stampendous Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle

Stampendous Aged Black Embossing Enamel

Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Copic Markers

2 Chipboard (5×7) or Thick Cardboard

Card Stock (4-5/8 x 6-5/8) – about 10 pieces

Bind-It-All® and 1/2″ O-Ring

Cork Contact® Adhesive (2 pieces cut 5×7)

Round Nestabilities Die

STEP 1. Cover frame stamp completely with ink and stamp onto one of the cork sheets.

STEP 2.Center die and run through cutter.

STEP 3. Color with Copic Markers (this part was fun and easy!)

STEP 4. Apply VersaMark onto Cameo stamp; stamp on Vanilla card stock.

STEP 5. Pour Stampendous Aged Black Embossing Enamel over stamped image; shake off excess back into jar. Begin heat setting with heat tool underneath to start the melting process then continue heat setting over the enamel until it’s completely melted and shiny. The effect of this Aged Black Embossing Enamel is so different from regular black embossing powder! This one is so rich and has specks of gold mixed in with it!

STEP 6. Peel adhesive cover from cork sheet.

STEP 7. Trim embossed Cameo image and center behind the round opening.

STEP 8. Attach both cork sheets over the pre-cut chipboards (these are the font and back covers).

STEP 9. Place several pre-cut sheets of card stock between the front and back covers. Use binding machine to assemble scrapbook.  Add embellishments and you’re done!

I have to say, Stampendous has some really fabulous products. Want a chance at winning some of these goodies?  Just leave a comment right here before midnight, October 27th, and you will automatically be entered into the random prize drawing. Winner will be announced here.

Thanks so much to Stampendous for sponsoring this fun event!
